About Us

We're a small independent studio in the US, and we create worlds. Places with their own history, characters worth getting to know, and adventures worth telling your friends about afterwards. We launched our first world, Born Again, in December 2023, and hundreds of thousands of adventurers have since called it home across PC and mobile. We build the games we want to play.

How Born Again happened

Born Again took three years to build. We wrote the engine, the netcode, the combat, the economy and the tools ourselves, then launched on three platforms at once. It was the game we wanted to play and couldn't find, a permadeath MMO in the spirit of Realm of the Mad God that is fair, fast and friendly to new players. Stakes were the heart of that world. When a character can really be lost, every boss pull, every trade and every long walk home becomes a story.

Players showed up, and they stayed. Nearly three years on, the servers are live, the Discord is still loud, and the death counter is still climbing.

Our philosophy

01

Care

We build games with intention. We care about how a story shapes a world, how players move through it and talk to it, and how they come to understand it. Nothing is in there by accident.

02

Meaning

Stories in our worlds connect. A ruin, a rumor, a character and a quest all point to one another, and the more you see the more it makes sense. Meaning emerges as the pieces come together.

03

Community

Our worlds are made to be explored with other people, and we keep them online for years, not seasons. The best stories are the ones you tell your friends afterwards, and the players shape what we build next.
